ROYAL ONTARIO MUSEUM, TORONTO
Five intersecting crystals crash into Bloor Street, and people walk by as if nothing has happened. The chaos of angles and grids, the canted planes, the force with which the perfect shapes enter the earth . . . these are not from our world. I stand and look at the impossibility of it all, at the people sitting around, at my reflection in the green and looming glass. I feel an odd exhilaration.
Wow. A very nice series. And I love your comment that “…and people walk by as if nothing has happened.” It feels that way sometimes, doesn’t it?
Thanks for commenting. Yes . . . it’s strange how easily we become accustomed to things, even huge, outrageous, oddly beautiful things.
Intriguing! Much love and naked hugs, my buddy! 🙂
Many thanks!
impressive – I remembered the location. I visited this region twice!
Wonderful set!
Thank you. I appreciate the comment.
I’ve always been impressed with the architecture in Toronto. Excellent photos.
I agree . . . some great buildings in Toronto. I mean, this Libeskind addition just a few blocks away from Frank Gehry’s addition to the Art Gallery of Toronto! And, there’s still lots of building going on. A fine place for an architecture buff with a camera. Thanks for commenting.
